In 1996 I moved from Norfolk to study music at Salford University, there
attaining a BA Hons in Band Musicianship. Whilst there I studied with Dave Hassell.
Over the next few years I worked in and around Manchester in various covers and
original bands playing music ranging from Irish Rock to Salsa...
It was through a University contact that I became involved in the world of
touring showbands, which has led me to a band called Makerfield. 2 years later,
I became partner and MD in the band and now 5 years down the line I have relocated
to the South East in order to pursue a career as a session drummer. Bringing Makerfield
with me to the South, I continue to work with the band gigging in the corporate sector.
It is of paramount importance that as a professional drummer you continue to study, so
I currently work with Bob Armstrong to keep my drumming healthy and improve upon my existing
skills.
